Speed in the Community
The Road Safety team and Essex Traffic Police worked with Year 5 pupils outside of Doddinghurst Junior School to assess the speed of the vehicles and try to educate the drivers of the dangers of not keeping to the speed limit.
If a driver is found to be travelling at excessive speed the police stopped the vehicle and the pupils will talked to the driver, showing or reading out work which they will have already completed the week before. They will also give the driver leaflets outlying the dangers of speeding.
The pupils carried out this event, educating the drivers in a very sensible and mature way.
