Update 30/9/11:

Speed Camera Data Tool now includes total number of offences recorded within each camera stretch for the 2010/11 financial year (1/4/10 - 31/3/11).
The total number of offences recorded by Fixed Speed, Average Speed, Red-Light and Mobile Speed cameras in Essex, Southend-On-Sea and Thurrock was 30,186 for the 2010/11 financial year (1/4/10 - 31/3/11).

Speed Camera Collision Data (published as of 20th July 2011)

You can now use an interactive tool to display collision data for each speed camera stretch in Essex, Southend-On-Sea and Thurrock.

This tool allows you to choose each Speed camera by District and Stretch of road. The page shows raw data and a chart of collisions for financial years since installation including baseline data from the 3-year period that the camera was selected (before installation).


Before opening the 'Speed Camera Data' link below you are strongly advised to follow these guidance tips first:

  • TEST WHETHER YOU HAVE MACROS ENABLED? - CLICK HERE
  • Save and close all open files and documents, especially Excel files (including the macro test page if it's still open)
  • Read the FAQ / troubleshooting guide - CLICK HERE  (Under development)
  • Once you're finished, close the 'Speed Camera Data Tool' before opening any further files.


This is a brand new feature and as such we anticipate there may be a few teething issues which with your help we can resolve. (We are aware that this file does not currently run optimally with Excel 2010 although we're working on resolving this as soon as possible).
