There is a peak in child pedestrian injury collisions between the ages of 12 and 15 years which coincides with their early teenage years.
Pupils often walk to school in groups and are easily distracted by peers, mobile phones and other personal communication or entertainment devices.
All about pack 3 distributes a parents’ leaflet and a students journal which give important safety messages to help them appreciate the hazards and form strategies to cope with them.
The journal can be used as a diary with features to match the time of year such as “Be safe be seen” in November.
