Level 2
This is the initial on road training course on minor public roads and follows on from Level 1. To undertake the training the pupil has to be aged 10 years or over. If they have not completed level 1 then the first lesson of Level 2 is an off road session to assess their cycling skills.
Subsequent lessons introduce strategies to overtake stationary or slower moving vehicles and turning manoeuvres. The pupils may also be taken for a supervised ride as well as riding to and from the training site.
Two instructors can train up to 12 pupils at a time and on successful completion of the outcome based training they can be awarded a certificate and badge.
