First Car Magazine

First Car is an attractive mazagine produced by a young publisher who uses focus groups with young people to ensure that the content appeals to the target audience of young drivers. It provides its readers with the information, advice and encouragement that they need to drive safer, along with a variety of topics relevant to this age group.

In Essex, the magazine is distributed to 20 year olds by post through the Primary Care Trust (PCT), with a questionnaire that invites comments from recipients. Feedback has shown that the magazine is found to be interesting, very useful and offers good advice. There is also an indication that it is passed around to friends and other family members.

Copies are also distributed at Road Runner events around the county.

In 2008, First Car Magazine received the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in the category of Young Drivers.
