Young Driver/Rider Road Risk Workshops

This is a one day workshop specifically for young drivers/riders aged 17 – 25 years.

The workshop consists of a morning theory session followed by an afternoon of practical assessment with advanced driving instructors.  

It is designed to address the vital health and safety issues of young drivers/riders driving or riding on company business.

The workshop will commence at 9.30am and close at 4.00pm with lunch and refreshments provided. 

The theory session (3 hours) will cover topics such as;
• National and local statistics
• Hazard perception and distractions
• Emotions, beliefs and attitudes
• Factors contributing to accidents
• Company responsibility, policies and guidelines
• Journey planning, accidents & breakdowns 

The practical session (3 hours) will cover;
• Vehicle checks
• On the road practical driving/riding
• Tips to be a “better business” driver/rider 

 
For the majority of people, the most dangerous thing they do while at work is drive on the public highway (Source: HSE). There are many potential operational and financial benefits from successfully managing the risk to your employees whilst they are driving on company business.
