Brentwood High Street Event

The Brentwood Road Safety team and officers from Essex Police were present in Brentwood High Street on Wednesday 21st July to talk to the public about many road safety messages but the main theme was surrounding Drinking and Driving.

We had the mock gel drinks showing units on display and from a distant this looked like were giving away drinks, many of public came over to see just what we were doing and this gave us the chance to meet and talk to them giving road safety messages and information.

We also put the brake reaction tester into the police car and members of the public were able to sit in the drivers seat and test their reactions, this was great as many people wanted to be able to sit in a police car and once they had use the brake reaction tester we were able to talk to them about speed, reaction times etc.

It was also a chance for many children to meet and talk to a police man and sit in a police car.
This was a very worthwhile day as we were able to speak to so many of the public who actually came over to us.
