Pitstop Day

A successful education and enforcement event took place in Althorne specifically targeting motorcyclists.
Pitstop days are a chance for riders of powered two wheelers to have an assessed ride out with an Essex Police motorcyclist - ultimately to help them improve their technique and riding skills.

The day resulted in;
7 riders booking onto a one day training course
6 speeding tickets issued to car drivers
2 tickets issued for non-wearing of seatbelts
2 mobile phone endorsements and tickets issued
2 tickets issued for illegal number plates
9 further warnings given for behaviour.
