Roadrunner Event

East Mersea Youth Camp hosted a Road Runner event from 8th February - 11th February.

Through Road Runners, young people are invited to attend a one day event where they are given a 'taster' driving lesson. They also have the opportunity to participate in other activities giving them practical experience of road safety, drug and alcohol misuse and what to do at the scene of an accident.

Presentations from various agencies are respresented in 6 sessions of 40 minutes duration.

The event is attended by 10 local secondary schools and is organised by Essex County Councils Road Safety Team in partnership with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and Essex  Police.
