Progress towards the 2010 target in Chelmsford
The 2010 target is to achieve a 40% reduction on the 1994-1998 baseline average.

This graph shows the number of casualties each year since that average (the black line), compared with the progress required to meet the 2010 target (the green line).

There was a downward trend until 2002, but since then numbers have been rising and the level at the end of 2005 was above the target.

Progress in 2007
This graph shows the number of KSI casualties in 2007 (red line).

The green line shows the level required to be on target for 2010, while the dotted line shows casualties in 2006.

Comparison with other districts
In 2007 Chelmsford was ranked fourth by number of KSI casualties and eighth by KSI casualties per 100000 population
