Progress towards the 2010 target in Basildon
The 2010 target is to achieve a 40% reduction on the 1994-1998 baseline average.

In 2005 the number of KSI casualties in Basildon fall to 68, which is below the target for that year - and only two above the target for 2010.

Provisional figures show that KSI casualties in 2007 were 83 - which is above both the 2005 level (dotted line) and the target for the year.

In 2007 Basildon was ranked fifth by number of KSI casualties and tenth by KSI casualties per 100000 population.
